📣 PLAI CONGRESS 2025 📣
The Philippine Librarians Association, Inc. (PLAI), in partnership with the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) through the National Committee on Library and Information Services (NCLIS), the National Library of the Philippines (NLP), and the Medical and Health Libraries Association of the Philippines (MAHLAP), will hold its Annual National Congress and General Assembly from November 23 to 26, 2025, at the SMX Convention Center, Bacolod City, Negros Occidental.
With the theme:
“PLAI BRIDGES: Borderless. Research-based. Innovative. Developmental. Global. Equitable. Sustainable.”
This year’s PLAI National Congress aims to strengthen collaboration, innovation, and sustainable development among librarians across the Philippines and beyond.
Congress Objectives
⭐ Borderless – Strengthen the network of librarians from diverse backgrounds and locations, enabling them to share experiences, challenges, and best practices beyond borders.
⭐ Research-based – Facilitate the sharing of library experiences in organizing, acquiring, disseminating, and providing access to information and resources that are evidence-based.
⭐ Innovative – Present the latest technologies, methods, and innovations in library and information services to enhance library quality and value.
⭐ Developmental – Inculcate a growth mindset and support continuing professional development among librarians through sessions and workshops.
⭐ Global – Facilitate the exchange of knowledge and ideas by connecting librarians from various sectors, career stages, genders, and across borders.
⭐ Equitable – Promote equitable access and inclusive services by presenting initiatives for underserved communities.
⭐ Sustainable – Share sustainable library practices and services aligned with sustainable development goals.
